  • Dates and Programs
  • Q: What is the standard departure city?
    A. change the price to $2995 and add $400 more for LA, SF, and Houston.

  • Q: Will Shaykh Hamza be there for the entire program?
    Yes, he will be at both program 1 and program 2 for the full duration of the programs.

  • Q: What are the official travel dates?
    A. Program 1 will leave on March 4th, and will return on March 16th.
        Program 2 will leave on March 25th, and will return on April 7th.

  • Q: Will Shaykh Hamza be there for the entire program?
    A: Yes.

  • Q: What are the departure locations?
    A: Caravans depart from Toronto, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and London.

  • Q: Is this trip for me?
    A: This program is for all ages and especially for those who wish to take an Umrah trip to Saudi and not an intensive program. Parents, couples, families, and singles are all invited. So please feel free to talk to your parents and others who might be planning a trip and now this opportunity for an Umrah trip with Shaykh Hamza.

  • Q: How is the transportation from Makkah to Madina and Madina to Jeddah?
    A: It’s by bus/ground travel. You can make alternate arrangements if you wish.

  • Q: If I am purchasing a LAND package only, will that include a ride from Jeddah airport to the hotel?
    A: Yes.

  • Q: If I am purchasing a LAND package only, does that include ground travel from Mecca to Madinah, and Madinah to Jeddah?
    A: Yes

  • Q: I am interested in joining the Caravan, what documents will I need to prepare?

  • Q: Should I just fill out the Registration form or are there other things I need to send/fill out?
    A: At this stage, fill out the registration form, make the payment of $400 non-refundable as soon as the link for the payment is sent to you. Once you receive confirmation, you send the rest of the documents and payment to Darus Salams [Canada/US]

  • Q: What is the standard departing city?
    A: Departing city that comes with the $2995.00 is New York. Any other departures than New York is $400 extra/person.
    Please note that departure from San Francisco has a one-day layover in Dubai.

    Family/Child price
    $2995 - $185 = $2810 from JFK
    $2995 - $500 = $2495 from JFK

  • Q: Any package for families?
    No family rates. Everything is individually.

  • Q: Can I stay with my husband/wife in the same room?
    Room bookings are based on triple occupancy. If anyone would like to stay with their husband/wife (just the two people), it’ll be $200 extra/person.

  • Q: Can I travel to another country after the Ummrah.
    A: Yes. Arrangements can be made with our travel agent after the trip deposit ($400) is paid and all applications have been submitted. Any additional costs involved will be directly paid to the travel agent separately.

  • Q: I am an American/Canadian citizen but work abroad. Can I join the group in Mecca and if so, what are the costs involved?
    A: Yes you may join the group. Flight arrangements and costs plus Visa applications must be arranged by the traveler. The price for joining the group is a flat $1900 USD.

  • Q: How much is the price for land package?
    A: $1995.00

  • Q: Family/Child prices:
    A: Children 2-11 with airplane seat and hotel bed is $185 Less than the regular price. so if they are traveling from JFK it will be $2810. the same with other cities, it's the total package price -$185

    Children 2-11 with airplane seat NO BED will be -$500. so from JFK it would be $2495. For example if there is a family of 4, who want to sleep in one room, and they have ONE child between the ag e of 2-11 and he does NOT need a bed they can save $500 on the 2-11 year old child by sleeping in one room, but the child will not have a bed.

    Under 2 years of age, NO bed NO seat they only pay $500. This will cover airplane fees and travel fees, but the child will not get a bed at the hotel. The best way is if the parents have only one child under 2 years, they should get the double occupancy rate and pay $500 for the child and they can have the room to themselves.

    Also if there is a family of 3 with parents and a child 2-11 years old, they can get a room based on double occupancy rate, and have their child in the room with them, and still pay $2495 for the child from JFK.

  • Women Travelling with the Sacred Caravan
  • Q: What is the Mahram issue?
    - All sisters under 45 yrs old need a Mahram to go with them. The Mahram has to be 18 yrs or older.
    - Sisters above 45 yrs old can travel alone BUT they need to get a notarized letter signed by their Mahram that they can travel by themselves.
    - Sisters who have converted to Islam, and are 21 years or older do NOT need a Mahram.
    - A Mahram cannot be under 18 yrs old. Same goes for brothers who want to travel but are under 18 yrs old (they need a Mahram).

  • Q: I am over the age of 45, can I travel without an Mahram?
    A: Yes. A letter from the Mahram must be signed and nortorized indicating that the Mahram gives you permission to travel alone for Ummrah.

  • Q: I am under the age of 45, must I travel with a Mahram...what do I do if I don’t have a Mahram to travel with.
    A: As per the Saudi Embassy, Visas will only be issued to women with a traveling Mahram and there really aren't any exceptions from what we are told.

  • Q: Is my Meningitis shot still valid?
    A: The meningitis ACWY 135 is valid from 3yrs from the date on the immunization record.
